The carriage is padded with Gratz standard foam, offering the perfect balance of comfort and feedback — firm enough to maintain alignment and connection, yet supportive throughout each movement. A padded, textured Footbar Cover enhances comfort and grip, while adjustable leather straps ensure consistent resistance for seamless transitions.

While a skilled practitioner can work on any Pilates Reformer length, it’s helpful to choose a size that supports the widest range of clients, especially when working with different body types, heights, and experience levels.
You can always fine-tune workouts by using the tools you already have such as adjusting gears or utilizing the Spacer or TV Box for shorter clients.For a diverse client base (skill level and height), Gratz provides these general guidelines:
- 80": Individuals under 5'8", longer Reformers can be too long for these individuals.
- 86": Individuals 5'8" and 6'2", this commonly used by shorter individuals without issue. This is the most popular choice for studios with a wide range of client heights and skill levels.
- 89": Individuals over 6'2".
