At Gratz Pilates, we stand behind the quality and craftsmanship of our apparatus. Gratz apparatus is handmade, making it unique and truly one of a kind.  

We offer a comprehensive warranty to the original retail purchaser of our principal apparatus.  

What Gratz Warranty Covers 

Gratz guarantees that our apparatus is free from defects in materials and craftsmanship when used and cared for under normal studio or home conditions.  

“Defects in materials or craftsmanship” means: 

  • Structural or manufacturing issues  

  • Failure of welded, bonded, or constructed components due to build error 

  • Workmanship defects that prevent the apparatus from performing as intended 

Lifetime Warranty 

Gratz offers a lifetime warranty on the major structural components of our Reformers, Classic Cadillacs, Instant Cadillacs, Studio Wall Unit Towers, and Guillotines. The lifetime warranty applies to defects in materials or craftsmanship including manufacturing issues present at delivery, structural failures related to build quality, or workmanship defects that prevent the apparatus from functioning as intended. 

Covered Components 

  • Cadillac & Cadillac Conversion frame and canopy 

  • Reformer frame 

  • Studio Wall Unit structural frame 

  • Guillotine Tower frame 

It does not promise that equipment will last forever or remain free from cosmetic or wear-related changes over time. It does not include small parts like springs, wheels, hooks, straps, eyebolts, screws, wheels, upholstery, handles, natural discoloration over time, scratches from use, etc. 

10-Year Warranty 

Gratz offers a 10-year warranty on the major structural components of our Chairs, Barrels, Mats, and Pedi Pole. These pieces are built by hand, using time-tested materials and construction methods designed to support years of daily studio use. The 10-year warranty applies to defects in materials or craftsmanship including manufacturing issues present at delivery, structural failures related to build quality, or workmanship defects that prevent the apparatus from functioning as intended.

  • Chair Frame(s): Wunda Chair, Small Arm Chair, Electric Chair, Combination Wunda / Electric Chair 

  • Barrel frame: Small Barrel, Spine Corrector, Ladder Barrel 

  • Mat frame: Low Folding Mat, Low Rigid Mat, Contour Mat, High Rigid Mat 

  • Pedi-Pole frame 

90-Day Warranty 

Springs, Parts & Accessories 

This warranty covers manufacturing defects on all Springs, Parts, and Accessories for 90 days from the invoice date.

A “manufacturing defect” in this category means: 

  • Material flaws that prevent normal use 

  • Spring defects originating from production that affect tension or function. 

  • Construction or assembly errors  

  • Failures caused by production mistakes rather than wear, use, or handling. 

  • Accessories arriving damaged due to workmanship or customer handling. 

 Covered items 

  • Springs 

  • Straps 

  • Wheels 

  • Handles 

  • Rubber feet on Mats 

  • Clips 

  • Hooks 

  • Hardware 

  • Other small parts 

Not covered 

  • Changes from normal use 

  • Wear from routine movement or studio volume 

  • Rust or oxidation from humidity 

  • Pin knots and other natural variation in wood and fabric 

  • Loss of spring tension

Use/Time Based Changes not under Warranty 

The following conditions occur naturally as a result of regular use, studio volume, client handling, or environmental exposure. These conditions develop naturally through Pilates practice and day-to-day operation in both studios and homes. These are not considered defects: 

  • Cosmetic changes such as scratches, dents, surface marks, chips, or fading. 

  • Upholstery changes including scuffs, impressions, stretching, softening, or tears that develop through daily use. 

  • Aging of materials such as leather softening or vinyl stiffening, or color variation over time. 

  • Metal wear including surface rust, oxidation, or discoloration from normal environmental exposure. 

  • Spring changes such as loss of tension, metal fatigue, noise, or feel changes due to regular exercise load. 

  • General wear on moving parts (wheels, straps, clips, hooks) caused by repeated use over months and years. 

Events Not Covered by Warranty 

  • Extreme Climates 

  • Natural Disasters 

  • Floods 

  • Fires 

Floods and other natural disasters can happen unexpectedly — protect yourself with proper insurance so that you are protected from costly repairs or replacements that fall outside Gratz Warranty coverage. 

Limitations 

This warranty is non-transferable, and no other statements we make should be considered an express or implied warranty. 

Aside from the specific warranties detailed above,Gratz Pilates disclaims all other warranties, express or implied—including warranties of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose.
