Join the Canadian Pilates Method Society (CPMS) for the 100 Years of Pilates Education Conference, running November 6–8, 2026, at the Tsawwassen Coast Hotel in Delta, BC. 

A Conference Built to Bridge, Not Divide

The Canadian Pilates Method Society has structured the entire weekend around Contemporary, Clinical, and Classical Pilates workshops running in parallel! 

Gratz Pilates is proud to be the Exclusive Classical Pilates Equipment Partner. A century ago, there was no "classical methodology," there was simply the method, taught hands-on, on apparatus built to Joseph Pilates' own specifications. Everything else grew up around that original core. As the original manufacturer of Pilates apparatus designed by Joseph Pilates, we remain true to his exacting standards and vision.

What's on the Schedule

The weekend opens Friday evening with registration, a welcome Mat class, and an Opening Presentation & Century Celebration — a look back at Pilates' global legacy and a dedicated look at how the industry took shape in Canada specifically.

Saturday and Sunday settle into a full conference rhythm, with Classical Pilates sessions anchoring the days:

• Sunrise Mat classes each morning to open the body before the learning begins
• Classical Pilates Session 8:45 AM - 11:30 AM: "The Art of Progression " — a hands-on look at real-time observation, using Gratz apparatus for 3–5 Mat and 3–5 Reformer exercises from the beginner repertoire to sharpen how you recognize when a client is truly ready to progress (or needs to be dialed back)
• A midday Mat reset between sessions
• Classical Pilates Session 1:00 PM - 3:45 PM: "The Wunda Chair Within the Pilates Method" — an interactive exploration of how this compact piece of Gratz equipment reinforces the relationships between exercises and apparatus, rebalances asymmetries, and creates new opportunities for progression across the classical repertoire
• An Evening Restore Mat class each day to close things out
