Romana’s Pilates Continuing Professional Education and Lessons with Guest Master Teacher Trainers

Pilates Body Shaping, the only Romana's Pilates International Teacher Trainer Center in North Carolina, is bringing three world-class master teacher trainers to Charlotte for a special Continuing Professional Education event on August 13-15, 2026.

Instructors will have the rare opportunity to train with Daria Pace, Marjorie Oron, and Flora Lombardi — each carrying forward the legacy of Romana Kryzanowska.

Master Teachers

• Daria Pace: Level I RPI Master Teacher Trainer

As Romana Kryzanowska's granddaughter, Daria began training with her at age three. She later pursued instructor certification and has taught alongside Romana and Sari across Europe, Australia, and the Americas. Based in Florida, she now runs the Romana's Pilates home studio and the RPI Organization, training and mentoring apprentices through the RPI certification process.

Session: Saturday, August 15, 9am-4pm (RPI Instructors only)

• Marjorie Oron: Level X RPI Master Teacher Trainer

A professional dancer with the Dance Theatre of Harlem, Marjorie was introduced to Romana and True Pilates while recovering from a serious ankle injury and went on to train directly under Romana. In 1994, she opened the first recognized Pilates studio in Europe with Romana's blessing, was later hand-picked as an instructor trainer, and launched the first true Pilates teacher training program in Europe.

Workshop: Extension to the Bridge — Friday, August 14, 10:30am-1:30pm. This session explores the connection between the shoulder girdle and ribcage to build stronger extensions, with classical work on the Gratz apparatus. Open to RPI Instructors and apprentices in the RPI Teacher Training Program.

Private lessons: Available all day Thursday, August 13.

• Flora Lombardi: Level 2 Romana's Pilates Teacher Trainer

Flora trained as a contemporary dancer in Pistoia, Italy before traveling to New York in 2001 to study the Authentic Pilates Method at the Romana Kryzanowska School, where she was invited to teach the following year. She returned to Italy in 2003 to open her own studio, and in 2016 became the first person in Italy to earn the Level 2 teacher trainer diploma. She remains the original director of the Romana's Pilates method in Italy.

Private lessons & duets: Thursday, August 13, 2pm-5pm, and Friday, August 14 after 3:30pm. Classical work on the Gratz apparatus, open to RPI Instructors, apprentices, and Pilates Body Shaping clients.
