STUDIO

Opened in 2021 by Romana’s Pilates Instructor, Summer Reed, LAB Pilates has become a sanctuary for clients seeking pure, classical Pilates with an emphasis on warmth and joy. The studio is located in central Manhattan, 2 blocks from the Empire State Building. With large windows, golden sunlight reflected on all-natural wood floors, and minimalist decor, clients can exhale when they walk through our doors.

We are a boutique studio that focuses on private and duet sessions. We are in the same suite as a chiropractic office, so our instructors specialize in working with clients who have all types of injuries.

EQUIPMENT:

2 Reformers, 1 Folding Mat, 1 Cadillac, 1 Ladder Barrel, 1 Arm Chair, 1 Electric Chair, 1 Wunda Chair (we love the archival foam on this one), 1 Spine Corrector, 1 Small Barrel, and all of the accessories (Breath-a-Cizer, Foot Corrector, Toe Corrector, Sand Bag, Neck Stretcher, etc.)

With over 7 years of extensive training and apprenticeship under world renowned mentors, Sari Mejia Santo, Cynthia Shipley, and Jerome Weinberg, Summer is the visionary behind LAB Pilates NYC. Her commitment to excellence, rooted in integrity, has shaped our studio into a haven for those seeking a holistic and tailored approach to their well-being. She specializes in using Romana’s Pilates to work with clients who have difficult injuries, but loves working with all body types and strives to make everyone feel welcome and empowered at her studio.
