Founded in Arlington, Virginia, The Pilates Loft Virginia has become a regionally recognized studio dedicated to delivering a true Classical Pilates experience.
Built on a foundation of precision, consistency, and high-level instruction, the studio serves a wide range of clients,from professional athletes to individuals recovering from injurythroughsmall-groupand highly personalized training. Every instructor undergoes comprehensive training, ensuring that each session reflects the integrity and depth of the Pilates method.
Alia Staples, Owner, Instructor, and Teacher Trainer, discovered Pilates in 2010 and experienced its profound impact firsthand following spinal fusion surgery for scoliosis. That experience inspired a lifelong dedication to the Classical Pilates method, leading her to complete more than 700 hours of comprehensive training. Today, Alia is a respected educator who is passionate about developing both practitioners and future instructors while preserving the integrity of the method.
Since opening the studio in 2014, Alia has grown The Pilates Loft into a thriving multi-location studio with a team of over 30 instructors, while also training the next generation of Classical Pilates teachers. Her work reflects a deep commitment to preserving the method while making it accessible and impactful for a wide community.
As a Gratz Gallery, The Pilates Loft Virginia is recognized for its commitment to preserving and sharing the Classical Pilates method through a fully Gratz-equipped studio. By providing an environment where clients and instructors experience the original apparatus as it was designed to be used, the studio helps uphold the consistency, craftsmanship, and educational standards that define the Gratz tradition.
