Holly Murray is a Classical Pilates educator, author, mentor, and founder of Pi Studios and the Pi Teacher Training Academy in the United Kingdom. For more than twenty-five years, Holly has been dedicated to preserving and sharing Joseph Pilates' original method through authentic teaching, rigorous teacher education, and a deep respect for its lineage.
Trained directly under Romana Kryzanowska, Holly established one of the UK's first fully equipped Classical Pilates studios using Gratz apparatus and developed one of the country's earliest comprehensive Classical Pilates teacher-training programmes. Since then, she has trained and mentored teachers across the UK and internationally, helping to preserve the integrity of the Classical method for future generations.
Her first book, Pilates, Flow, and Healing: A Philosophical and Trauma-Informed Guide to Living the Method, will be published by North Atlantic Books in January 2027. The book explores the enduring relevance of Joseph Pilates' work, revealing Classical Pilates as an embodied practice that supports health, resilience, and human flourishing.
Today, Holly continues to steward and teach internationally, at her studio in London, committed to the principles, precision, and craftsmanship that have defined the Classical Pilates method for generations. Believing it’s the people and the relationship that matter the most.
