Lead Times Reduced to Under 3 Months

Hi Everyone, 

We’re excited to share some great news: ALL new Gratz Pilates apparatus orders now ship in less than 3 months. Reformers, Cadillacs, Guillotines, and more—your order will be built and shipped within three months of finalizing your order.  We are able to do this with consistently higher quality and consistency due to a number of investments we made into Gratz.  

We thought about making this the shortest Gratz newsletter ever: one sentence. But we also want to give perspective on how this was made possible. 

Looking Back 

As many of you know, orders placed in 2022 and 2023 often took much longer than a year to ship. My own 2022 order did. When we acquired Gratz in June 2024, one of our first priorities was to fix the lead-times. Today, we’re proud to say we’ve made another big step forward. 

How We Did It 

Here are the key changes driving our faster lead times and improved quality: 

  • More Skilled Craftspeople

    A year ago, we had 20 artisans in our shop. We’ve since more than tripled the number of welders, woodworkers, finishers, and assembly specialists—bringing more experience and precision to every piece.

  • First-Ever Quality Assurance Program

    Every apparatus now goes through dedicated QA: rigorous testing, detailed checks, and high-resolution photographs. This ensures you receive the quality you expect, while also making our production process more efficient.

  • Stronger Engineering Standards

    We brought on our first head of engineering operations and implemented tighter standards. That means welding, finishing, and assembly are done right—the first time, every time.

  • Expanded Customer Support

    Our product and customer specialist team has grown from 2 to 6. From studio build-out guidance, and complicated custom requests, to troubleshooting unexpected issues, our team works to provide clarity and support at every step.

  • Improved Supplier Partnership

    A year ago, we had constant out of stock issues on the raw materials needed to build your custom apparatus. We’ve improved these relationships, improved quality controls with suppliers, and worked with our partners to scale to meet demand.

  • Experienced Leadership

    We’ve added leaders with deep expertise to guide our custom manufacturing and operations teams. Leadership matters—and it’s helping us deliver faster and better. These leaders help ensure higher quality at each stage of production.

Wonderful news. I work out at Atwill Pilates in Santa Barbara. Over a year ago I wanted to order a barrel. The shipping cost was more! What is the cost to ship a reformer to Santa Barbara?
