MeJo Wiggin is an internationally respected Classical Pilates instructor, teacher trainer, and second-generation practitioner known for her deep connection to the original Pilates method. She began studying under Master Teacher Romana Kryzanowska in 1990 and went on to train with several renowned teachers connected directly to Joseph Pilates, including Sari Mejia Santo, Kathy Grant, Jay Grimes, and Bob Liekens.

By 1995, MeJo was teaching alongside Romana at Drago’s Gym in New York City, earning her certification in 1996. She opened her first studio in Greenwich, Connecticut that same year and quickly became recognized for her keen eye, hands-on teaching approach, and ability to work with a wide range of clients including professional athletes, dancers, celebrities, Pilates teachers, and individuals recovering from injury.

In 2003, Romana certified MeJo as a Level III Teacher Trainer for Romana’s Pilates and selected her to be featured in Romana on Pilates: The Mat Series and Romana on Pilates: The Legacy Edition, Romana’s only official video productions, sponsored by Gratz and released in 2004. Romana famously described MeJo’s work as “poetry in motion” and awarded her a Gold Card in recognition of her advanced abilities.

Over the past two decades, MeJo has taught workshops and certification programs throughout Russia, Europe, Scandinavia, South America, Australia, and Asia, becoming one of the most sought-after educators in the Classical Pilates community. In 2008, she produced her own instructional DVDs, Twenty Minutes, Twice a Week and The Gratz™ Arm Chair. She later developed The Classical Syllabus® in 2013, a continuing education program designed for certified Pilates teachers from all lineages seeking a deeper understanding of the Classical Pilates method.

Today, MeJo continues to teach privately and lead workshops internationally, inspiring instructors and students through her precision, artistry, and dedication to preserving the integrity of authentic Classical Pilates.
